Pure Citronella Oil is a natural insect repellent. Citronella Oil is derived from Citronella grass (Cymbopogon nardus). Economical and easy to use. When the concentrate is diluted/mixed, the spray will repel flies, gnats, mosquitoes and fleas. A popular ingredient in homemade natural sprays or used to spike your favorite fly spray.

 

 

Below are a few recipes for homemade natural fly sprays.  Caution should be taken when applying as skin irritations can occur.  Test before heavy use.   The EPA states laboratory studies have found citronella oil is non-toxic to humans and animals although skin irritation may occur on sensitive skin.  The proper dilution ratio may vary.  Consult your vet or doctor prior to use.  Use at your own risk.

 

 

2 cups white vinegar
1 Tablespoon Citronella oil
1 cup water

4 oz Skin So Soft
1 oz citronella oil
12 oz vinegar
12 oz water

2 cups vinegar
2 tablespoons of citronella oil.
Optional: 1 tablespoons Eucalyptus oil

1/2 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons citronella oil
2 tablespoons  eucalyptus essential oil
